the Wind Interrupts.

Scribble the Art show is an ongoing art show occuring few months.  Each time 5 or so artists respond to a prompt. The Wind Interrupts was a video I made to be part of an installation called "why the earth to orient out of white supremacy" that I showed at the latest Scribble art show on March 11th of this year. The theme was Truth Telling.

In the video there are brief shots of the sign and shots of the natural world in the area around the sign. It is a gray day and it is windy. The video is titled The Wind Interrupts as the wind is interrupting the ability to read the sign. There are juxtaposing images of the natural world with no obvious interference of humans and colonization, the historical marker sign, and brown painted steps with a red sign reading ‘PRIVATE PROPERTY’. The wind, and visuals in the video are their own language, taking away from centralizing the way the sign tries to tell the story of this place.
